Appetizer ‘Tomato Tulips’

It is very important to choose a good recipe for St. Valentine’s Day which will like your soul mate because well organized and prepared romantic supper will leave in your hearts and become good memories in the course of time. The supper on this day should not only be yummy but also creative.

So, if you are looking for a new St. Valentine’s Day dish, then we advise you to cook these tomato tulips. They look like decorations but these flowers are edible. This tasty and nourishing appetizer will become a winner of your festive table.

Ingredients:

  • 8 fresh tomatoes
  • 200 ml sour cream
  • a bunch of spring onion
  • 200 g (7 oz) lettuce leaves
  • 125 g (4,5 oz) cottage cheese
  • salt – to taste

Cooking

Wash lettuce leaves and cut them finely. Combine cottage cheese and sour cream in a blender jug. Whip the ingredients. Then add the lettuce leaves and stir everything carefully.

Wash tomatoes, cut a cross shape on the top of each tomato. Remove the inside and stuff the tomatoes with the prepared filling.

Arrange the tomatoes and washed spring onion on a serving plate so that you get ‘tulips.’
