Berry herbal tea – Fall in a cup

First things that come to mind when thinking about fall are hot soups, warm fresh bakery and by all odds, flavorful herbal teas since autumn is that cozy time of the year when you can enjoy a steaming cup of soothing tea at family gatherings.

I invite you to cook with me aromatic and pleasing tea with dried herbs, flowers and berries. The exquisite tea blend will surprise you with a remarkable combination of ingredients giving the drink a fantastic flavor. Dried berry leaves are perfectly blended together with linden, chamomile, mint, and fragrant berries like dog-rose berries, raspberries, and elderberries. Apart from being extremely flavorful, this tea has unique health properties and is full of vitamins that will help support your immune system through the autumn months.

 

Ingredients:

Herbs

  • Dried chamomile
  • Dried mint leaves
  • Dried rosebay willowherb leaves

Berries

  • Dried dog-rose berries
  • Dried elderberriesDried raspberries

Flowers

  • Dried linden flowers
  • Dried calendula flowers

Berry leaves

  • Dried blackberry leaves
  • Dried strawberry leaves
  • Dried currant leaves

 

Cooking

Combine dried herbs, flowers, berries, and berry leaves in equal parts. Gently blend the ingredients together and arrange them in a teapot.

Use about 1 teaspoon of tea mixture per cup of water (the amount of mixture depends on the size of your teapot and the number of people you are cooking the tea for). Pour boiling water in a pan and allow the tea to steep for about ten minutes. Strain the tea through a sieve and pour it in cups.

Sweeten the herbal tea to taste with honey or sugar, if desired.
