Cabbage, Carrot, and Beetroot Salad

Featuring vibrant colors this healthy vegetable salad will become a winner at any dinner table.

This salad includes such popular Ukrainian vegetable as beetroot. Beets, like carrots, can be eaten raw. They are yummy that way, crispy and sweet. Raw, grated beetroot is a tasty and healthy addition to salads.

This vivid salad will not only nourish you but also add a dose of vitamins and antioxidants. You can serve this refreshing salad on its own or with meat dishes, whatever you prefer more.

Ingredients:

  • 1 apple
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 100 g (3,5 oz) cabbage
  • 100 g (3,5 oz) beetroot
  • black ground pepper – to taste
  • red ground pepper – to taste

Cooking

Wash cabbage and grate it. Wash, peel, and slice a beetroot. Rinse, peel, and grate an apple. Combine the ingredients in a bowl. Add honey and vegetable oil. Stir everything carefully. Set aside the salad for 5-10 minutes. Season it with black and red ground pepper. Serve the salad chilled.
