Cake ‘sweet potato’

The cake ‘sweet potato’ is considered to be one of the most favorite cakes for children and adults. The dessert can be easily cooked at home. You will need only some simple ingredients and you don’t have to bake the cakes. There are many recipes of this delicious dessert and one of the simplest variants is written below.

Ingredients:

  • 250 g (0,55 lb) short cookies
  • 100 g (0,22 lb) dairy butter
  • 1/2 glass of milk
  • 1/2 glass of sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 50 g (0,11 lb) walnuts
  • 1-2 tbsp cognac/ juice
  • cocoa powder (for serving)

Cooking

Grind up short cookies and nuts in a blender. Place the mass in a bowl. Combine together milk and sugar in a pan. Heat the mass. Add pieces of dairy butter to the warm milk and mix the ingredients till the butter melts (don’t bring the mass to boil).

Place cocoa powder in a cup and add 1 tbsp of warm water. Stir everything carefully and add the mixture to the warm milk. You should get the chocolate milk.

Pour the chocolate milk to the bowl with nuts and cookies. Stir the ingredients. Add cognac or juice. If the mixture is too watery add some flour and starch. Refrigerate it for half an hour.

Wash the hands and form the balls from the chocolate mass. Cover the “sweet potatoes” with a cling wrap and place them in a fridge for 1-2 hours.

Then roll the “potatoes” in cocoa powder and serve.
