Cheese and egg pie

The cheese pie can be served hot or cold, so you can bake it and take for a snack somewhere outdoors. This vegetarian pie has melted cheese mass on top of a light crust. It is nourishing, tasty and easy to cook. Don’t miss a chance to try the cheesy table delicacies.

Ingredients:

Dough

  • 1 egg
  • a pinch of salt
  • 250 g (1/2 lb) flour
  • 125 g (1/2 cup) dairy butter

Filling

  • 2 eggs
  • 300 ml cream
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 250 g (1/2 lb) hard cheese
  • red ground peper – to taste
  • salt – to taste

Cooking

Mix flour and salt. Cut chilled dairy butter into pieces and add an egg. Whisk the ingredients thoroughly. Stir in the flour mass. Knead dough quickly and refrigerate it for 30 minutes. Roll out the dough and line the baking dish with it (grease the dish with dairy butter beforehand).

Toss flour, eggs, cream, red pepper and some salt together until well combined. Add grated cheese and mix everything. Transfer the prepared mass above the dough.

Place the pie in an oven and bake at 180°C (356°F) for 45 minutes.
