- 16 chicken wings
- 250 g little bulb onions
- 1 eggplant
- 200 ml red wine
- 1 bay leaf
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 tbsp ketchup
- salt – to taste
- ground black pepper – to taste
Peel bulb onions and cut them into circles. Combine red wine, 1/2 tsp salt, pinch of pepper and a bay leaf. Mix the ingredients and pour the wine in a frying pan. Add the bulb onions and stew them for 15 minutes. Then cool the onions.
Peel an eggplant. Cut it into slices (the breadth of each – 1 cm). Wash chicken wings and dry them. Combine the eggplant, chicken and red wine with the bulb onions. Marinate the ingredients in a fridge for 2 hours.
Skewer the ingredients on the spits in any sequence. Combine 2-3 tbsp of the marinade with 1-2 tbsp of sunflower oil and grease the chicken wings with the prepared mixture.
Grill the shashlik for 15 minutes.
