Cod in sour cream sauce

Cod is not only tasty, but also useful fish which contains the vitamin B12. This fish is a good solution for those who keep their weight trim, while it doesn’t contain much fat. The cod cooked according to this recipe is juicy, flavorful and soft. The mustard and nutmeg impart the fish a special zest. One more advantage of this dish is that it can be cooked quickly and served with any side dish.

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp wheat flour
  • 600 g (1,3 lb) cod fillet
  • sunflower oil (for frying)

Sauce

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • some lemon slices
  • 1 tbsp horseradish
  • 2 tbsp dairy butter
  • 1,5 glass sour cream
  • salt – to taste
  • ground nutmeg – to taste
  • spring onions – to taste

Cooking

Wash a cod fillet and cut it into pieces. Rube the fish with salt, coat in flour and fry in sunflower oil. Cook each side of the fish for 5 minutes. Set it aside for a while.

Hard boil eggs, peel and chop them finely.

Melt dairy butter and add mustard, horseradish, sour cream, ground nutmeg and 3 chopped eggs. Salt the mass and stir it thoroughly until well combined.

Place the cod on a plate and spread the prepared sauce over the cod evenly. Top the dish with chopped spring onions and lemon slices.
