Cottage-cheese pancake with orange

Pirog-s-tvorogom-i-apelsinomWe recommend you an easy baking recipe for a mouth-watering cake. The combination of curds and fruits gives a special taste. If you want to treat yourself with something sweet and to stay slim – bake this curd cake with vanillin and orange flavor.


  • 500 g (1,1 lb) curds
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 glass of sugar
  • 1 glass of sour cream (10%)
  • 10 g (0,02 lb) vanillin
  • 2 tbsp potato starch
  • orange peel


It is better to use light curds. However the curds should not be fatless as well. The ideal variant – 2,5 – 3% fatness.

Grate curds with vanillin and sugar till you get a homogenous mass (you may use mixer, blender or a wire whisk). Grate orange peel.

Add potato starch, raw eggs, sour cream, and the orange peel to the curd mass. Whip the ingredients carefully.

You can bake the dessert as a classic cottage-cheese pancake and use cookies as foundation. The simplest variant is to chop shortbread and combine it with dairy butter. If you want to cook a dietetic variant of the dessert then you can bake it without the shortbread.

If you still use cookies as foundation, then place the prepared shortcake in a baking cup covered with parchment paper. Next put the prepared curd mass. Bake the cottage-cheese pancake at 180°C (356°F) for 50 minutes. Next decorate it with pieces of orange, whipped cream and dried fruit.
