Finally, summer has come to us and you definitely don’t want to spend much time in the kitchen. It can be served with fresh or cooked vegetables, depending on your taste preferences. We assure you that once you treat your guests with this starter, it will become their favorite hot appetizer. A tender mushroom filling in combination with crispy chicken balls cooked to perfection. Yummy and easy!

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 200 g (7 oz) flour
  • sunflower oil (for frying)
  • 500 g (1,1 lb) chicken fillet
  • 300 g (10,5 oz) champignons
  • black ground pepper – to taste
  • breadcrumbs – to taste
  • salt – to taste

Cooking

Wash chicken fillet, cut it into rather big pieces in the form of a square. Beat the meat slices and rub them with the mixture of salt and pepper.

Rinse champignons and cut them finely. Pour water in a pan and bring it to boil. Add the prepared mushrooms and salt. Mix everything and boil the champignons until half done.

Place the boiled mushrooms above each piece of the chicken. Roll the chicken slices into medium size balls (you may fix them with the help of a tootpick).

Beat the eggs, salt and pepper them. First dip each meatball in flour, then in the egg mass and at last in breadcrumbs.

Take a skillet, warm sunflower oil over high heat and fry the meatballs over medium heat until all sides are golden and crispy.

Arrange the meatballs on a plate and serve them at once.

Enjoy your meal!
