Gobies originate from the family Gobiidae which enumerates more than 2000 species. Gobies are spread in the Black and Azov Seas. Hereupon dishes with goby fish are rather popular in Ukraine. In addition, gobies contain vitamins such as PP and many natural compounds necessary for normal life-sustaining activities. Try to cook fried tiny goby fish and serve your relatives, they will like the fish from the first bite.
- 2 kg (4,41 lb) of goby fish
- 1-2 bulb onions
- salt – to taste
- ground black pepper – to taste
- vegetable oil (for frying)
- fresh basil (for decoration)
Scald gobies. Then wash and dry them a little. Combine flour, salt and pepper in a big bowl. Place the prepared fish there. Mix the ingredients carefully.
Preheat a frying pan and pour enough vegetable oil. Add the gobies to the pan and fry until cooked through and crust is a golden color.
Place peeled and cut into semi-circles bulb onions in the pan. Cover the lid and cook the ingredients till the onion becomes soft.
Place the fish with onion in a plate and decorate them with fresh basil.
