Ham, egg and crispy vegetable salad

If you want to ring the changes to traditional vegetable salad recipes, then a new one is waiting for you. The proposed fresh and light salad contains ham and eggs. The combination of the ingredients gives the dish a wonderful taste. Make experiments safely.

Therewith the salad is healthy while doesn’t contain any fried ingredients and has a sour cream dressing.

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 eggs
  • 1 bulb onion
  • 1 sour-sweet apple
  • 1/2 glass green peas
  • 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 200-300 g (7-10,5 oz) cabbage
  • 100-150 g (3,5 – 5 oz) smoked ham
  • salt – to taste
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sour cream

Cooking

Wash and cut cabbage into thin strips. Scald it and set aside for 5-7 minutes. After drain water, sprinkle the cabbage with lemon juice and season it with salt. Mix everything carefully.

Slice ham. Peel a bulb onion and cut it into semi-circles. Combine vinegar and 3 tbsp of water. Add the onion and leave it for 15 minutes. Next transfer the onion to a saucer and set aside.

Peel an apple and slice it. Boil eggs hard, peel and chop them finely.

Toss all the prepared ingredients in a big bowl together. Add green peas. Salt the salad and dress it with sour cream. Stir the ingredients and serve.
