One of the most favorite products in Ukraine is herring. It is tasty and has a rather reasonable price. If you don’t have many products in a fridge, fried potatoes with herring will always relieve you. Herring is considered to be real produce from the sea. And not in vain – it contains almost 20% of biologically valuable and digestible protein. The fat concentration is also high – 20-30%, especially of the cold water herring. It contains polyunsaturated fatty acids which 'fight' with the high content of cholesterol in blood and prevent the atherosclerotic changes in blood vessels.
