Nut “babka”

Nut “babka” – is a very tasty nut cake with vanilla which has an easy recipe. You can surprise your guests with one more traditional dish of the Ukrainian cuisine. By the way “babka” will have 6 portions, so all the family can taste and appraise the dish.

Ingredients:

  • 250 g long loaf / bun
  • 10 eggs
  • 100 g nuts
  • 3/4 tbsp dairy butter
  • 8 tbsp sugar
  • Sweet sauce:
  • 2 glasses of dairy cream
  • 3 eggs
  • 1tbsp sugar
  • a pinch of vanilla sugar

Cooking

Grate yolks with sugar until the mixture gets white color. Add chopped nuts gradually. Then grate stale hard bun / long loaf. Whip the whites and mix everything thoroughly. Place the prepared mixture in a baking sheet greased with dairy butter. Top “babka” with breadcrumbs and place it in the oven. The baking period depends from the oven. You can check the readiness of the dessert by the help of a match.

Sweet sauce

Grate yolks with sugar and vanilla sugar. Mix the ingredients with boiled dairy cream and heat the mixture to 80-85 degrees. Stir the sauce continuously.

Cut nut “babka” into portions and pour with the prepared sauce before serving.
