Pea soup has excellent gustatory qualities and many useful components. The soup is rather energy-restricted and at the same time the pea is considered to be one of the most important “providers” of proteins, fats and carbohydrates without which the life-sustaining activity is impossible. Try to cook this peas, bacon, and celery soup and see for yourserlf.
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 bulb onion
- 2 celery stalks
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 670 g frozen green peas
- 1,2 l (liter) vegetable broth
- 1 lemon
- 8 bacon slices
Preheat oil in a frying pan. Peel bulb onion. Cut the onion and celery stalks. Fry the ingredients over low heat for 10-15 minutes. Unfreeze peas. Combine the prepared mixture, peas and paprika. Add the ingredients to the broth and bring them to boil. Reduce the heat and simmer everything for 10-12 minutes. Squeeze a lemon and pour its juice in the soup. Fry the bacon slices till golden crisp.
Ladle the pea soup in the soup plates. Put the bacon slices above.
