Potato soup with liver

54df3f311dc11Today we will boil a nourishing potato soup with liver and vegetables. The recipe is easy, the ingredients are simple. However when they are combined together in a soup – the taste is unbelievable.

Ingredients:

  • 1,5 l (liter) of water
  • 400 g liver
  • 100 g smoked salo
  • 1 cup of green beans
  • 1 carrot
  • 3 potatoes
  • 1 tbps dairy butter
  • 1 tbps of flour
  • 2 tbsp of sour cream
  • nutmeg – to taste
  • salt – to taste

Cooking

Wash liver and cut it into medium pieces. Coat the liver with flour and fry on preheated dairy butter. Cut the smoked salo finely, fry it slightly in a pan with heavy base. Add the liver, peeled and grated carrot, and green beans. Stew the mass a little.

Peel and cube potatoes. Pour hot water in a pan and add the potatoes. Salt the potatoes and boil them till done. Then add the stewed mass and cook the soup for 10-15 minutes.

Ladle the dish into serving bowls. Top the soup with sour cream and grated nutmeg before serving.
