Roasted Chicken in White Wine Sauce

If you still wonder what to cook for some festive occasion, then this recipe is just the ticket. This roasted chicken has a delicious golden crust and perfect tender meat. Plus, it looks really appetizing.

The recipe of the dish is rather easy. Everything you will need to do is to grease the meat with the special marinade and then bake it. White wine combined with cream and garlic delivers a flavorful taste to our chicken. We will also use fresh thyme and dill to impart the chicken some piquant note.

Ingredients:

  • 1,5 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp fresh dill
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 4 tbsp fresh thyme
  • 2 kg (4,4 lb) chicken
  • 250 ml dry white wine
  • 230 ml cream (10-20%)
  • olive oil – to taste

Cooking

Wash chicken and dry it carefully. Peel garlic cloves, squeeze them and combine with salt. Then add vine and cream. Mix everything thoroughly. Rinse thyme and dill. Chop them and place the mixture under the chicken skin. Then grease the chicken with the prepared marinade. Cover the chicken with foil wrap and set aside for a couple of hours.

Preheat an oven to 180°C (356°F) beforehand. Place the chicken in a baking tray covered with foil. Sprinkle it with olive oil. Bake the chicken for an hour. Pour it with the marinade every ten minutes.
