This dish is yummy and rather nourishing so you should have no worries that your family members or your guests will stay hungry.
The main ingredient is halibut, which is very useful since it is loaded with B vitamins as well as omega-3 fats.
The taste of tender and mild halibut is enriched with an amazing flavor-packed sauce composed of tomato-pepper base, onion, and fish broth.
- 1 bell pepper
- 1 bulb onion
- 1 slice of lemon
- 1 cup of fish broth
- 1 tbsp tomato sauce
- 4 tbsp vegetable oil
- 450 g (16 oz) halibut
- 400 g (14 oz) tomatoes
- black ground pepper – to taste
- salt – to taste
Wash halibut thoroughly and cut it into 4 portion-sized pieces. Grease a baking tray with vegetable oil and transfer the fish there. Bake the halibut until golden and then season it with pepper and salt.
Peel a bulb onion and chop it finely. Brown the onion in a skillet with preheated vegetable oil. Add tomato paste, sliced tomatoes, heated broth, and chopped pepper. Continue to fry the ingredients until tender.
Transfer the fish to a serving plate. Decorate it with tomatoes and a slice of lemon. Serve the halibut with the prepared sauce.
