Roasted pike perch with beetroot

Picture 065Sometimes terre-a-terre food can become a rather delicious dish. The fish with beetroot stuffing is easy to cook and the result is wonderful. You will get a vegan dish - the soft and juicy pike perch with vegetable stuffing. If you want to eat healthy and tasty food, then this recipe is definitely what you seek for.

Ingredients:

  • 3 beetroots
  • 125 ml water
  • 200 ml cream
  • 4-5 lemon slices
  • 4 tbsp white wine
  • 1 tbsp dairy butter
  • 500 g (1,1 lb) pike perch
  • black ground pepper - to taste
  • salt - to taste

Cooking

Peel and wash beetroots. Place them in a pan, pour with water and cook over high heat for 5 minutes. After stir the vegetables and boil for 20 minutes over medium heat. Put the beetroots on a plate and set aside.

Rinse and scale the fish. Dry the pike perch. Rub the fish with salt and pepper. Place it in a frying pan with melted dairy butter. Sprinkle it with white wine, cover the lid and cook the fish for 5 minutes. Set the fish aside for a while.

Transfer the pike perch in a baking sheet covered with foil. Stuff it with the beetroot mixture and lemon slices. Pour everything with sour cream. Bake the dish until thoroughly done. After put the fish on a plate, cut into portions and serve.
