Sauteed potatoes and mushrooms

Sauteed potatoes and mushrooms – is one of the most favorite dishes in Ukraine. We can serve it as everyday course or treat guests. By the way the dish like as children as adults.

Ingredients:

  • 800 g (1,76 lb) potatoes
  • 700 g (1,54 lb) mushrooms
  • 70 g sunflower oil
  • salt – to taste

Cooking

You may use any mushrooms (we take champignons). Peel the mushrooms, wash, and chop them. Place the ingredients in a frying pan. Next add oil and some water. Fry the champignons over medium heat for 45 minutes. Stir the mass continuously.

Peel potatoes and slice them. Saute the potatoes in a separate frying pan. Brown the ingredients.

When all the ingredients are done, combine and stir them. Next add salt and fry the mushrooms and potato over high heat in order to get sapid crackling.

Tip! You may serve this dish with pickled cucumbers, tomatoes or you can cook a fresh salad.
