This yummy salad is quick and easy to make. It combines crunchy lettuce leaves, juicy apple, and soft chicken liver. The combination of different tastes is winning.
The sweet-sour apple gives the dish an extra burst of flavour. The olive oil and lemon juice dressing perfectly complement the delicacy of chicken liver.
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1 sweet-sour apple
- 3,5 tbsp dairy butter
- 450 g (1 oz) chicken liver
- 1/2 bunch of lettuce leaves
- black ground pepper – to taste
- salt – to taste
Wash lettuce leaves thoroughly. Tear the leaves into pieces. Rinse an apple and peel it. Remove the seeds and cut the apple into wedges.
Preheat dairy butter in a skillet. Brown the apples a little and transfer them to a plate.
Then place the chicken liver in the skillet. Fry the liver stirring it carefully. Season the liver with pepper and salt.
Combine the lettuce leaves, apple, and liver on a serving plate. Dress the salad with olive oil and lemon juice before serving.
