  • 35 g (1 oz) yeast
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 250 g (1/2 lb) flour
  • 200 g (7 oz) margarine

Filling

  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 500 g (17 oz) frozen cherries

Cooking

Thaw cherries before using.

Dissolve sugar and yeast in warm milk. Add 1 tsp of flour. Stir to combine and put in a warm place for 10-15 minutes.  Cut the margarine into medium pieces.

Add 1/4 tsp of salt to sifted flour. Combine the margarine with flour.  Mix them carefully. Then add sour cream and yolk, stir thoroughly. Add the yeast and knead the soft dough. Add flour if necessary.

Cover a baking tray with parchment paper. Grease the tray with dairy butter.

Divide the dough into 3-4 parts. Leave 1 part of the dough on a table. Put the remaining dough in your fridge.

Roll the dough and cut it into 12 equal triangles. Place the cherries in the center. Top the cherries with sugar. Roll from the bottom of the triangle to the point. Repeat the procedure until you use all the dough.

Bake the crescent rolls in the preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for 20-25 minutes.

Top the baked crescent rolls with powdered sugar before serving.
