Chicken, Potato & Beetroot Salad

This dish is distinct in the combination of simple ingredients and a tasty result. You can serve the salad to treat your guests or you can cook it on a weekday to gladden your family members. The recipe is so easy that you will quickly remember it. You simply need to boil chicken and vegetables, in particular cucumbers, potatoes, beetroots and onion. And after arrange the prepared ingredients in layers which are greased with mayonnaise. You may also substitute the mayonnaise with sour cream. That’s all. The process of cooking will take a little time.

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 potatoes
  • 2-3 beetroots
  • 1 little bulb onion
  • 1 chicken drumstick
  • 4 medium pickled cucumbers
  • mayonnaise – to taste
  • vinegar – to taste
  • salt – to taste

Cooking

Wash a chicken drumstick, boil it and cut into medium pieces. Rinse potatoes and beetroots. Boil, peel and grate the vegetables. Peel a bulb onion, chop it and mix with salt and vinegar. Set the onion aside for a while. Cut pickled cucumbers finely. Arrange the prepared ingredients in layers. The first layer should form the chicken and onion. Then place the cucumbers and potatoes. The third layer is the beetroot. Grease all layers with mayonnaise, place the salad in a fridge for some time and then serve.
