Fish stew with vegetables

  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup broth
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 150 g (5 oz) potato
  • 55 g (2 oz) bulb onion
  • 100 g (3,5 oz) green peas
  • 100 g (3,5 oz) sweet pepper
  • 300 g (10,5 oz) plaice (fillet)
  • black ground pepper – to taste
  • lemon juice – to taste
  • tomato sauce – to taste
  • salt – to taste


Wash plaice fillets thoroughly. Dry the fish, rub it with salt and pepper. Sprinkle the plaice with lemon juice and tomato sauce. Peel a bulb onion and a clove of garlic. Chop them and fry in olive oil for 3-5 minutes. Peel potatoes and sweet peppers, dice them. Add the vegetables to the onion with garlic. Pour broth above, add green peas and mix everything. Cook the stew for 8-12 minutes.

Then add the cubed fillet and white wine. Stir everything and simmer 6-10 minutes more. Cut tomatoes thinly, add to the ragu and cook the dish till done.
