Ukrainian cutlets from buckwheat – Grechaniki

  • 2 glasses of buckwheat flour
  • 20 g of yeast
  • 1 egg
  • 0.5 glass of milk
  • 2 tbsp of sunflower oil
  • 25 g of dairy butter
  • 2 tsp of sugar
  • 1 glass of sour cream

Dissolve yeast, salt, and sugar in the warm milk. Whip the egg. Add buckwheat flour. Combine all ingredients and knead the dough. Leave it in a warm place for 1.5 – 2 hours. Let the dough rise. Knead and let it ferment again.

Make long thin rolls from the dough. Grease the baking tray with dairy butter and put rolls there. Let them rise. Cut the rolls crosswise with knife (greased with dairy butter). Bake grechaniki in the oven.

Pour rolls with sour cream before serving.
