Homemade onion rings

Crispy onion rings is a splendid accompaniment to your meal. The process of cooking is very simple and it will take just 10-15 minutes. The onion rings may be also served as hot beer snacks.

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 bulb onions
  • 3 tbsp breadcumbs
  • 100 g (3,5 oz) sour cream
  • 100 g (3,5 oz) wheat flour
  • sunflower oil (for deep-frying)
  • 1 tsp salt

Cooking

Peel bulb onions and cut into rings with 6 mm breadth. Place the rings in a colander and scald them.

Beat eggs and salt them. After add sour cream. Stir in flour. Mix the mixture with accuracy. Dip the rings in the prepared batter until they are all coated. Spread breadcrumbs on a plate. Put the rings there and cover them with the breadcrumbs thoroughly.

Preheat oil in a griddle. Deep-fry the onion rings on both sides till crisp and desired shade of golden, about 3-4 minutes. Displace the rings on a paper towel to let the fat drain. Once drained, the onion rings should be salted and served hot.
