One of the most favorite products in Ukraine is herring. It is tasty and has a rather reasonable price. If you don’t have many products in a fridge, fried potatoes with herring will always relieve you. Herring is considered to be real produce from the sea. And not in vain – it contains almost 20% of biologically valuable and digestible protein. The fat concentration is also high – 20-30%, especially of the cold water herring. It contains polyunsaturated fatty acids which 'fight' with the high content of cholesterol in blood and prevent the atherosclerotic changes in blood vessels. Cook with us this amazing mushroom, herring, onion, and tomato salad and serve your guests.
- 500 g tomatoes
- 60 g pickled champignons
- 250 g stewed ceps
- 2 bulb onions
- 4 herring fillets
- 250 g mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp curds
- 2 tbsp sunflower oil
- herring roe
Cube herring fillets. Wash and peel ceps. Boil and stew the mushrooms. Chop the ceps and the champignons. Peel and cube bulb onions. Cut tomatoes into medium pieces. Mix the prepared ingredients carefully.
Combine curds with herring roe and mayonnaise. Grind the ingredients.
Dress the salad with the prepared mixture.
