The calamari have in their content the great amount of protein and vitamins among which are B, E, C and PP. Therewith the calamari have a variety of microelements, necessary for the human being, such as phosphorus, cuprum and iodine. The last one is badly needed for the thyroid and endocrine system health. Plus, this calamari, mushroom, and walnut salad is very tasty and nourishing.
- 500 g (17,5 oz) calamari
- 300 g (10,5 oz) champignons
- 1 bulb onion
- 70 g (2,5 oz) walnuts
- 100 g (3,5 oz) cheese
- 1 clove of garlic
- mayonnaise – to taste
- salt – to taste
- kitchen herbs – for decoration
Clean calamari and boil them in slightly salted water for 3-4 minutes. Then cool the seafood.
Peel bulb onion and chop it finely. Peel champignons and slice them. Fry the ingredients until done. Season them with salt, if necessary.
Chop walnuts. Add half of the walnuts to the champignons and leave the other half for salad decoration. Grate cheese. Slice the calamari. Mix the prepared ingredients.
Peel and grate a garlic clove. Mix it with mayonnaise. Then combine the sauce with salad.
Decorate the salad with walnuts and culinary plants.
