Peach marmalade with walnuts

Peaches are very useful fruits while they contain organic acids such as malic, tartaric and citric ones. They also have vitamins C, B, E, K, PP and their composition includes ferrum, phosphorus, manganese, cuprum, selenium and magnesium. Your relatives will like this amazing peach jelly with nuts.


  • 2,5 kg ripe peaches
  • 1 kg sugar
  • 5 g citric acid
  • 250 g walnuts / cashews


Wash and peel peaches, remove the stones. Cut each peach into 8 slices. Place them in a pan. Cover the fruits with sugar and leave for 8 hours.

Then bring the peaches to boil, cook 10 minutes and turn over the fire.

Leave the marmalade for 3-4 hours. Bring the mixture to boil again and boil till the jam thickens (30-40 minutes).

Ten minutes before the end of boiling add citric acid (dissolved in 1 tbsp of water) and walnuts (fried and chopped).

Scum, turn off the fire and pour the marmalade in the jars. Cork up the jars hermetically and cool.
