Pumpkin bread with pumpkin seeds

Today we will cook not pumpkin puree or soup but very tasty pumpkin bread with sesame seeds and we call your attention to the recipe.


  • 400-450 g flour
  • 1,5 tsp salt
  • 1/2 glass of warm water
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1,5 tsp yeast-powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 – 4 glasses of pumpkin puree
  • pumpkin seeds – to taste
  • sesame seeds – to taste
  • 1 yolk


Mix flour and salt. Dissolve honey in warm water, add yeast-powder and leave for some minutes. Combine flour and yeast mixture. Then add olive oil. Make a sloping dough. Add pumpkin puree and knead the dough. Add fried pumpkin / sesame seeds and knead a soft dough. Cover it with a napkin and leave in a warm place for 1 hour. The dough should increase in its size twice.

Divide the dough into 3 parts. Place the dough in the form for bread and leave it for 40-50 minutes.

Grease the bread with yolk and cover with pumpkin / sesame seeds.

Bake it at 200°C for 40 minutes.

Tip! It is advised to eat pumpkin bread for breakfast. You can grease it with dairy butter or serve it with a vegetable salad.
