Red currant pie




  • 40 g of dairy butter
  • 1 egg
  • 80 g of sugar
  • 1 package of vanilla sugar
  • lemon juice (1 lemon)
  • 300 g of flour
  • 1 package of pastry powder
  • 2 tbsp of sour cream
  • 50 g of dried breadcrumbs
  • salt – to taste


  • 50 g of red currants
  • 6 whites
  • 200 g of sugar
  • 50 g of walnuts


Whip dairy butter with sugar. Add egg and lemon juice. Whip again. Then pour sour cream and pastry powder gradually. Continue to whip. Grease the baking tray with dairy butter. Powder it with dried breadcrumbs and pour the pastry there.

Wash red currants and strain off the water. Beat up the whites stiffly. Add sugar little by little. Mix half of the mass with currants and place it on the pastry. Pour another half of the cream above. Powder the pie with ground walnuts and bake it over low heat for 30-40 minutes.
