Cook with us a tasty and truly Ukrainian starter. Savoury slices of bread flavoured with zestful horseradish and a thin slice of salo on top. Can you withstand such a tasty treat? All your guests will love this spicy Ukrainian appetizer – bread with salo and horseradish.
- 3 slices of rye bread
- 80 g salo
- 2 tbps pink horseradish sauce
- 2 tbsp sour cream
- 1 tsp sugar
- fresh dill – to taste
Cut the slices of rye bread in half. Combine horseradish, sour cream and sugar. Mix the ingredients properly. Salo should have room temperature. Slice the salo thinly.
Grease each slice of bread with the prepared mixture, place a piece of salo above. Top the appetizer with dill twigs.
Serve the starter with borsch or hard liquors.
