Cabbage and Carrot Salad with Tangy Seasoning


This salad is healthy to eat and beautiful to behold. It includes such simple ingredients as cabbage and carrot.

This salad is rather tangy thanks to its flavorful seasoning which comprises sunflower oil, apple vinegar, garlic, sugar, and salt. This dressing marinates the vegetables and makes their taste unique and specific.

Being bright and very appetizing, this salad will help bring color and vibrancy to your dinner table and will surprise your relatives with its crunchiness and lightness.


  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2-3 carrots
  • 1/4 tsp sugar
  • 1 bulb onion
  • 1-2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tbsp apple vinegar
  • 500 g (1,1 lb) cabbage
  • 1/2 cup of sunflower oil
  • fresh spring onion – to taste


Wash cabbage and chop it. Transfer the cabbage to a bowl. Peel a bulb onion and cut it into semi-circles. Add the onion to the cabbage. Wash and peel carrots. Grate them and add to the salad. Stir the ingredients.

Combine sunflower oil, apple vinegar, salt, sugar, and squeezed garlic. Mix everything carefully.

Dress the salad with the prepared seasoning. Set the salad aside for 20-30 minutes and let the vegetables marinate.

Decorate the salad with chopped fresh spring onion before serving.
