Ukrainian drink Varenukha

In ancient times this alcohol drink was served in Kyiv instead of wine. The guests were usually treated with a rouse of vodka. Then varenukha in mugs was served. The main components of varenukha were spirit, dried fruits and spicery. It was poured in the specially prepared pumpkin (with cut hole), which added a special soft flavor.
