Appetizer “Ukrainska”

Every festive table should include good appetizers. Such small, but interesting dishes are great to accompany the man dish and salads. But tasty appetizer will find its place even for average dinner or supper.

Traditional Ukrainian appetizers are very tasty, has appetizing savor and presentation. And the most important thing is the content. You don’t need to buy numerous products to make simple appetizer. Just open your refrigerator and you will definitely find there beetroot, apples, cabbage, and other ingredients. Besides, you can replace one product with other without a fear to cook something that would kill a brown dog.

Here is additional tip: you can replace mayonnaise with home made souse or sour cream with mustard. Such souse is great and very healthy.

Ingredients:

  • 100 g of beetroot
  • 100 g of cabbage
  • 100 g of apples
  • 50 g of mayonnaise
  • 120 g of ham
  • 500 g of goose
  • 150 g of cucumbers
  • 150 g of tomatoes
  • 2 eggs
  • citric acid
  • salt – to taste
  • parsley

Cooking

Wash properly all vegetables. Boil beetroot and cool it. Julienne beetroot, cabbage and apples. Salt the cabbage, add apples, beetroot and mix everything. Dress the ingredients with mayonnaise and add citric acid.

Decorate the appetizer with slices of ham, goose, eggs, cucumbers, tomatoes and chopped parsley. Here your imagination should not have any borders. I wish you inspiration.
