Light and airy strawberry pie

It’s time for summertime, summertime gladness!))

Summer is in full swing and we can see colorful berries almost everywhere we turn. Such abundance of fruits makes us think about cooking something tasty, delicate, and refined. Here we go! I have an impressive recipe for you. We’re going to bake a luscious strawberry pie. This dreamy fruit dessert is the perfect way to top off dinner. Packed with fresh, fragrant strawberries, it just melts in the mouth.

The recipe of this cake is ridiculously simple. It involves pouring an easy-to-make batter over berries and baking of the crust until golden brown. The strawberries rise to the top, soaking the batter with their sweetness. As a result, we get a light and refreshing pie, the smooth texture of which resembles the flavor of summer in every bite.


  • 4 eggs
  • 240 ml milk
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 2 tbsp dairy butter
  • 100 g (3,5 oz) sugar
  • 100 g (3,5 oz) flour
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 600 g (20 oz) strawberries
  • dairy butter (for greasing)
  • 2 tbsp of sugar (for topping a baking tray)


Grease a baking tray (26 cm in diameter) with soft dairy butter and sprinkle it with 2 tbsp of sugar.

Wash and dry strawberries. Then cut the berries in halves and arrange them in the baking tray.

Combine eggs, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Whip the mass thoroughly and then stir in flour. Next add vanilla extract and pour milk above. Mix to combine. At the end put melted dairy butter and stir until smooth. Pour the prepared mixture above the berries.

Preheat an oven and place the baking tray there. Bake the strawberry pie at 180°C (356°F) for 40-45 minutes until set and puffed. Serve it hot or warmed.
