Vegetable and Salmon Appetizer ‘Candles’

This colorful appetizer includes an amazing combination of ingredients which makes it special and rather piquant. Only imagine tender soft cheese and red caviar rolled in salmon and fresh cucumber. Sounds tempting? This not only sounds so but also tastes awesomely.

This appetizer is a great recipe to try for any get-together, whether it is a family picnic, backyard barbecue, etc. It can be cooked very quickly and save you a lot of time for spending with your relatives and friends.

Ingredients:

  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 big cucumber
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 2-3 tbsp red caviar
  • 150 g (5 oz) soft cheese
  • 200 g (7 oz) slightly salted salmon
  • red ground pepper – to taste
  • lettuce leaves – to taste
  • fresh parsley – to taste

Cooking

Wash a cucumber and cut it into long and thin stripes. The salmon should be also cut into long thin strips.

Peel and squeeze garlic. Add soft cheese and red ground pepper. Stir everything carefully.

Put a strip of fish above the stripe of cucumber. Grease the fish with the cheese and arrange some red caviar above. Make a roll and fix it with the help of a toothpick. Repeat the procedure till you use all the ingredients.

Wash a bell pepper and cut it thinly. Insert a slice of pepper in each roll. Decorate the dish with fresh parsley and lettuce leaves before serving.
