Carrot pie with walnuts

Carrots… They are so underestimated. These vegetables deserve their place on the table. And today we’re going to bake a fool-proof, easy, and amazingly delicious carrot cake.

You’ll be surprised how a combination of simple and budget-friendly ingredients will turn into the ultimate dessert. The only minus of this pie is that it’s hard to stop at one slice!))

This scrumptious cake is sure to delight your family and friends, transporting them to another dimension. It is when simplicity meets sophistication. Better still, the sunny color and cozy flavor of the cake give the feeling of home and comfort.


  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tbsp of leaven
  • 1,5 cup of sugar
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 100 g (3,5 oz) walnuts
  • 1/2 cup of orange juice
  • 2,5 cups of wheat flour
  • 1/2 tbsp of vanilla sugar
  • 1/2 cup of sunflower oil
  • dairy butter (for greasing)


Beat eggs and combine them with sugar in a bowl. Whip the mass until smooth.


Pour in vegetable oil and orange juice. Continue to whisk the ingredients.


Peel carrots and wash them. Grate the vegetables finely. Peel and chop walnuts. Add the carrot and walnuts to the mass in the bowl.


Sift flour separately. Then add leaven and vanilla sugar. 


Mix the ingredients thoroughly and add the mass to the bowl. Stir everything carefully, making sure there are no flour pockets. Grease your baking pan with dairy butter and pour the prepared batter there.


Bake the pie at 170-180°C (338-256°F) until toothpick inserted in comes out dry and clean (about 40-50 minutes) and the pie is golden all over.

A few ingredients, a little of your time, and we get a simple yet delicious summer pie. Baked with love, its airy and flavorful crust explodes in the mouth.
