Guzul kvas

Guzul is the ethnic group of Western Ukrainians, which has a very tasty recipe of kvass. We would like to share with you.


  • 5 kg of sweet apples
  • 5 kg of sour apples
  • 10 l (liter) of water
  • 3 kg of sugar
  • 1 kg of ashberry


Place sweet and sour apples in a keg. Pour water, add sugar and ground ashberry. Mix everything thoroughly. Put the keg in a cold place for 2 months.

Serve chilled.
