This cake can be eaten on its own. However, in order to brighten its taste, you can also serve the dessert with fresh fruits, ice cream or some jam.
- 6 eggs
- 1 cup of flour
- 2,5 cups of sugar
- a pinch of citric acid
- dairy butter (for greasing)
- semolina (for covering)
- vanilla sugar – to taste
Take chilled eggs and separate yolks from whites. Combine the whites of eggs with citric acid and 1 cup of sugar. Whip the mass using a mixer until foamy and set it aside for a while.
Mix the yolks with the remaining sugar in a separate bowl. Beat the mass with the help of the mixer.
Combine the whites of eggs with the yolks carefully and stir using a wooden spoon. Sieve 1 cup of flour and after add it gradually, stirring the mass until fully blended. Then add vanilla sugar.
Grease the multi-cooker pan with preheated dairy butter and top the edges with semolina. Transfer the prepared batter into the pan using a ladle. Close the lid and open the steam valve.
Cook the sponge cake for about 30-40 minutes. Leave it in the multi-cooker for about 5 minutes. Then open the lid and let the cake cool down. Take out the cake and put it on a serving dish. If it’s difficult to take the pie out, then run a knife through the sides of the cake and then transfer it to a dish. Cut the sponge cake into pieces and serve it.
