Baked herring



  • 1 herring
  • 4-5 champignons
  • 2 bulb onions
  • 1 egg
  • 25 g dairy butter
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp grated horseradish
  • a pinch of salt
  • black ground pepper – to taste


Wash, peel and slice champignons. Hard boil an egg, peel and chop it. Peel bulb onions and cut them finely. Combine the ingredients and add the parsley and horseradish. Salt and pepper the prepared mass.

Scale herring and cut it into long slices. Cover a baking sheet with a foil, grease it with dairy butter and place the fish there. Add the prepared mass above. Cover everything with foil and bake the dish under 200°C for 25 minutes.
