Adzhyka Sauce (Tomato and Red Bell Pepper Sauce)

You’ll never want to buy tomato pasta or ketchup in a store after trying this homemade adjika sauce.

Adjika is a spicy sauce that flavors your food. This dish has been around for many years in Slavic community. There is so much you can use the adjika sauce for. It can flavor your chicken and other meat dishes. You can be creative and spread it on bread and toasts or serve it with spaghetti. The adjika sauce can make many things taste amazing.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 100 ml vinegar
  • 100 g (3,5 oz) sugar
  • 1 kg (2,2 lb) tomato
  • 100 ml vegetable oil
  • 1 kg (2,2 lb) red bell pepper

Cooking

Wash bell peppers and tomatoes carefully. Chop the bell peppers finely. Cut the tomatoes finely. Mix the ingredients in a pan. Add salt, sugar, vinegar, and vegetable oil. Stir everything thoroughly and start to cook over medium heat. Boil adjika sauce for 30 minutes. Scald jars. Then pour the adjika sauce into the prepared jars and cork them up hermetically.
