Cranberry pie

Let’s bake a crunchy pie with delicious cranberry filling. The zest of this recipe lies in the correct combination of a sour taste of cranberry and the sweetness of the dough.

  • 1 glass sugar
  • 1/4 glass milk
  • 3 glasses flour
  • 1/2 glass sour cream
  • 300 g (10,5 oz) dairy butter

  • 5 eggs
  • 1,5 glass jam
  • 2 glasses sugar
  • 1/2 glass flour
  • 1/2 glass sour cream
  • 2,5 glasses cranberry

Combine flour, dairy butter, sugar, sour cream and milk. Mix the ingredients thoroughly. Knead dough and roll it out on a floured surface. Place the crust in a baking sheet greased with dairy butter and bake it.

Wash cranberries and place them in a pan. Add sugar and boil the mass for 8-10 minutes, stirring continuously. Then add jam and cook for 5-10 minutes. Spread evenly the prepared filling above the crust.

Take eggs, separate yolks and whites of the eggs. Mix the yolks with sour cream, whip the whites with 1/2 glass of sugar and flour. Toss all the ingredients together.

Pour the prepared sauce above the pie. Place the bakery in an oven for 7-8 minutes more. Check whether the cake is done or not by the help of a toothpick, if it comes out clean, then the pie is done. Cut it into portions and serve.

Enjoy your meal!
