Cupcakes with Raisins

These moist and tender cakes with raisins are really worth to cook and try. They will become a great accompaniment to a cup of hot flavorful tea.

This scrumptious dessert has a very easy and time-saving recipe. In addition, it includes simple ingredients that each of us can find in the kitchen.

These cakes will fill your home with a heavenly aroma while you’ll cook them and your housemates will not resist the temptation and come to find out what a tasty treat you are baking.


  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 300 ml sour cream
  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 200 g (7 oz) margarine
  • raisins – to taste


Combine eggs with sugar and whip the mass until fluffy. Add sour cream and melted margarine. Stir the ingredients. Combine baking soda with vinegar and add to the mass. Mix everything again. Then add flour gradually stirring the batter continuously. The batter should be soft and stiff.

Place raisins in a bowl and pour them with hot water. Set aside for 15 minutes, then pour out the water and add the raisins to the batter. Mix the mass.

Grease baking cups with dairy butter and fill half of each baking cup with the batter. Bake the cakes in the preheated oven at 170-180°C (338-356°F) for 20 minutes.

Transfer the prepared cakes to a serving plate and top them with powdered sugar.
