Goose legs under wine sauce

You should not do your utmost to cook this dish. You need not special culinary capabilities also but the result is staggering.

The ideal variant for garnish is boiled or stewed potato. You can also serve stewed cabbage as a garnish.


  • 2 goose legs
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • 200 ml red wine
  • 2 tbsp thick jam
  • 1tsp paprika
  • 1tsp rosemary
  • salt – to taste
  • black ground pepper – to taste


Put chopped garlic and rosemary on a baking tray. Place goose legs above. Powder them with salt, pepper, and paprika. Bake the meat at 200°C. Bring wine to boil. Add jam and dissolve it in the wine. Boil the mass for 5 minutes. Take off the goose legs after one hour of baking. Take off the goose fat. You can use it to cook some garnish, for example boiled or stewed potato. Pour the meat with wine sauce and bake it for 20-25 minutes more.
