“Magic” cassolette

draniki-gorshThis is one of the most delicious Ukrainian dishes. You can cook it for some holiday. One cassoletter - is for one guest. Original and simple dish at the same time.


  • 150 g of beef/veal flesh
  • 1 aubergine
  • 1 sweet pepper
  • 1 tomato
  • 100 g of string beans
  • 2 potatoes
  • 1 carrot
  • 4 spring onion leaves
  • 1 tbsp of sunflower oil
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • dill – to taste
  • parsley – to taste
  • salt – to taste
  • black ground pepper – to taste


! This portion is counted for one person.

Cube meat and potato. Slice aubergine, carrot, and tomato. Cut string beans and pepper. Chop spring onion and ground garlic.

Pour sunflower oil in the cassolette. Put meat and potato there. Place onion and carrot above. Then add aubergine, sweet pepper and string beans. Pour the ingredients with water in order to cover them with water hardly. Add salt and pepper. Stew the dish in the oven for 30-60 minutes. Then add garlic and leave it for 15 minutes.
