String beans in tomato sauce

Ingredients:

  • 500 g string beans
  • 400 g tomatoes
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • fresh / dried basil
  • salt – to taste
  • ground black pepper –  to taste
  • sunflower oil

Cooking

Cut off the streaks of the string beans. Cut them into medium pieces. Place the string beans in boiling water and cook them for 5 minutes. Then put them on the colander and pour ice water over. In that case the string beans will not lose the bright green color. You can also use frozen string beans – place them in boiling water without a preliminary defrosting.

Cut the garlic. Put it on the heated sunflower oil and fry for 10-15 seconds. Then place sliced tomatoes and garlic in the pan with the string beans. Add salt, ground black pepper, and basil. Mix the ingredients. Bring the mass to boil, cook it over medium heat for a couple of minutes. You may serve the dish hot or chilled.

Enjoy your meal!
