Pyrizhky with apples and guelder-rose berries

Dough

  • 10 g dry yeast
  • 110 ml refined sunflower oil
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1/2 kg wheat flour
  • 75 g sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs

Stuffing

  • 30 g golden raisins
  • 75 g guelder-rose berries
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 250 g apple

Cooking

Wash guilder-rose berries, remove the leaf stalks and the rotten berries. Peel the apples, grate them. Pour out the apple juice. Wash raisins. Combine the apples, guilder-rose berries, raisins and sugar. Mix everything thoroughly.

Combine yeast, milk, eggs, sugar and salt. Then add the flour gradually. Mix the ingredients carefully and knead the dough. Cut the dough into medium pieces. Form a flapjack from the each piece of the dough. Place the prepared stuffing in a center. Repeat the procedure until all of the dough will be used. Crimp the edges of pyrizhky.

Place them on the baking sheet covered with cooking sheet. Leave pyrizhky in a warm place for 20 minutes.

Combine 1 tbsp of water with yolk and grease pyrizhky with the prepared mixture. Bake them in an oven at 190°C for 15 minutes.
