Ukraine is famed not only for its fertile land, unique nature, and one-of-a-kind kitchen but also it is the homeland for world-known scientists, writers, musicians, and many other outstanding people. We’ve gathered the list of 20 achievements that glorified Ukraine in recent times.

2) The Ukrainian team got the first place in the second Festival of Lights in Berlin.

5) The Ukrainian public electronic open source government e-procurement system ProZorro got the first place on the III annual premium Open Government Awards 2016.
6) The documentary movie by Anton Azarov “Lobanovskiy navsegda” won in the nomination “TV and videos about football” in the International Festival of Sports Movies and TV – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEQhtWEb4tI
7) The Kiev residential development “New England” from the Royal House project developer became the prize winner of the European Property Awards.
8) Three photos from Ukraine were ranked among the best photos in the international competition “Wiki loves Earth” in 2016.
9) The Ukrainian intellectual search system of blood donors YouDonor won the competition Startup Weekend: Social Innovation.
10) The Ukrainian uncompleted movie project “Tank” got the VFF Talent Highlight Pitch Award and the money prize in the amount of 10 000 euros at the 66ths International Film Festival in Berlin.
11) The international airport “Borispol” took the third place in the TOP-10 best airports of Eastern Europe by World Airport Awards-2016 rating.
12) The cargo plane An-225 “Mriya” has completed one more record fly transporting the cargo for a total weight of 169 tons.
13) The fire theatre “Adelaida” from Dnipro region won on the International fire festival “Krotoszyński Festiwal Ognia”, which took part in Poland.
14) The Roopor service of live audio broadcasts joined the list of winners in the International competition Publicis90 and got 100 000 euros for investments.
15) The lamps of the Ukrainian design-company “Fild” illuminate the Google office in Dublin.
16) The Ukrainian national academic opera and ballet theatre performed in the Parlament of China for the first time.
17) Ukrainian scientists developed the “Platform 20K” bracelet for reading and control of the electrocardiogram.
18) The “Ukrainian medical certification center” of the Public Health Ministry certified the blood stopper “Krovospas.”
19) The project “Skver Nebesnoi sotny” (“Square of the heaven hundred”) received the special European Prize for Urban Public Space 2016 in Barcelona.
20) The songs of Cossacks from Dnipropetrovsk region were included in the UNESCO’s World Cultural Heritage List.
