Boiled Potatoes with Salo

  • 1 kg (2,2 lb) potato
  • 200 g (7 oz) smoked salo
  • 100 g (3.5 oz) bulb onion
  • vegetable oil – to taste
  • fresh dill – to taste


Peel potatoes and boil them in salted water. Set aside for a while. Peel bulb onions and cut them finely. Combine the potatoes and the onion in a frying pan. Preheat vegetable oil and brown the ingredients until golden and crispy.

Slice smoked salo thinly. Rinse fresh dill and chop it finely. Transfer the fried potato and onion to a serving plate. Top the dish with the dill and serve it with flavorful smoked salo.
