Anthill Cake

Today we bake a chocolate airy cake. Your children will especially enjoy this recipe while the dessert has an unusual shape. In addition, this cake “Ant hill” is tender, soft, and soaked with sweet cream.


  • 2 eggs
  • 1 glass of sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 glass of sour cream
  • 2 tsp of soda with vinegar
  • 2 glasses of flour


  • 1 l (liter) of sour cream
  • 1 glass of sugar
  • 30 g (0,07 lb) of vanillin


  • 2 tbsp of cocoa powder
  • 4 tbsp sour cream
  • 1/2 glass of sugar
  • 50 g (0,11 lb) dairy butter
  • nuts (for decoration)


Whip eggs and sugar. Next add cocoa powder, sour cream, soda mixed with vinegar and flour. Knead dough and divide it into 3 portions. Bake 3 pie shells. Next cool the pie shells a little and cut each crust into pieces in the form of squares.

Let’s cook cream. Whip sour cream, sugar and vanillin. Deep each piece of cake in the prepared cream. Place the pieces of cake in a chaotic order on a plate. You should get the cake in the shape of an ant hill.

The next step is cooking fondant. Preheat dairy butter slightly. Then add cocoa powder, sour cream and sugar. Mix the ingredients quickly. The consistency of the mass should be thick. Pour the cake with the prepared fondant and top it with chopped nuts. Leave the dessert in a cold place for some hours and then serve.
